As if in answer to the Nintendo Wii’s upcoming “Happy Dance Collection” that resembles the Xbox360’s IdolMaster, the Sony PSP will be getting a portable version of the popular Xbox title itself!

Only catch is, players will have to be a little more specific about which girls they want to make into idols because “IdolM@ster SP” will be in three versions. Probably because a single UMD won’t be able to fit all the characters in. They will be divided up as follows:

Perfect Sun - Haruka Amami, Yayoi Takatsuki, Makoto Kikuchi
Wandering Star - Yukiho Hagiwara, Iori Minase, Ami and Mami Futami
Missing Moon - Chihaya Kisaragi, Azusa Miura, Ritsuko Akidzuki

So, the Xbox wins some and loses some with Sony, now that their exclusive title is being released for the PSP. I guess some would still prefer the HD Xbox version of this sim though and the title’s been out long enough to generate the exposure the Xbox needed anyway.
