I think SNK has helped pioneer the step into territory that other developers haven’t dared to tread on the DS with their “witch hunting” games. The latest Manga to make waves in Akiba and turn Anime, “To Love Ru” will be getting a dating sim soon on both the DS and PSP. However, the DS will contain something the PSP game won’t and that’s mini games where you have to heal the injured girls such as Lala by touching animated 3D models of them.

Yes, it looks like another lolita game but I guess this one might be acceptable when the heroine Lala’s supposed to be an alien queen but… Probably not. I haven’t watched the Anime show that just started but, it looks like another fan service show like Rosario + Vampire which I dropped. Anyway, the following can be considered NSFW.

Although both games are entitled, “To Love Ru - Trouble”, the DS game’s story will be subtitled “Doki Doki Rinkan Gakkou Hen (The Heart Throbbing Rinkan School Chapter)” where, Lala and her friends come across many different kinds of trouble while staying at an old Western house for three days.

On the other hand, the PSP game “Waku Waku Rinkai Gakkou Hen (The Exciting Rinkai School Chapter)” will see Lala and her friends being sent to Rinkai School by their head teacher where the player can enjoy their dream time with the girls over a four day period going to places such as the hot springs.

Expect the DS game sometime in August and the PSP in September. Both will be produced by Marvellous Entertainment and will of course, have obligatory pre-order gifts.
